Vice President of Credit Operations, Dennis Stickley Retires

50+ years of service

Port Washington, NY, January 12, 2022 – After a 50-year career, Dennis Stickley, the industry veteran of credit and financial lending begins his never-ending vacation with the new year. Dennis joined ASG in 2014, after 30-years at White Rose Food.

Dennis Stickley, a marketing graduate of LIU Post University and a US Army veteran began his finance career as a business writer for Dun & Bradstreet. Early into his professional career, Dennis moved into managing credit for PolyGram N.V., an entertainment company and major music record label by Dutch corporation Philips and German corporation Siemens. In 1984, Dennis transitioned into the grocery retail industry and joined White Rose as a Director of Financial Services and Credit. In 2014, he joined ASG as the Vice President of Credit Operations.

“We are grateful for Dennis’ dedication to ASG and our customers and for his many contributions to the business,” said ASG Co-Presidents and Co-CEOs, Joe Garcia and Zulema Wiscovitch.  “Dennis brought his credibility, knowledge, and experience to ASG at a time when the market was troubled by the folding of legacy wholesaler, White Rose. Making Dennis a part of our leadership team allowed ASG to offer the continuity and expertise needed to successfully run our credit department. He was instrumental in shaping opportunities for customers to establish supermarkets, making the stores a part of the fabric of the communities they serve. On behalf of our management team and all of ASG’s employees we wish Dennis all the best as he embarks in this new chapter of his life.” Dennis’ last day with ASG was December 31, 2021. Fausto Mercado will replace him, as Vice President of Credit and Collections.
