POINT PLEASANT BEACH, N.J. (July 24, 2026) – Associated Supermarket Group (ASG) celebrated the grand opening of The Market of Point Pleasant Beach on July 24 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. Throughout the grand opening weekend, customers enjoyed special promotions, product sampling, vendor demonstrations, giveaways, and family-friendly activities provided by ASG’s Good Neighbor program. The celebration welcomed community members, local officials, business leaders, and industry partners to commemorate the store’s opening.

Located at 505 Richmond Avenue, The Market of Point Pleasant Beach is owned and operated by Shap Markets and represents the company’s fifth independent supermarket. The opening reflects Shap Markets’ continued investment in locally owned grocery retail and its commitment to serving communities throughout the region.

Spanning more than 18,000 square feet, the store offers a full assortment of fresh produce, quality meats, seafood, dairy products, frozen foods, pantry staples, prepared foods, and everyday essentials, all supported by a focus on quality, value, and exceptional customer service.

ASG leadership joined Shap Markets, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Mayor Doug Vitale, and local business and civic leaders for the grand opening celebration.
